What is the Goal of the Mentorship Program?

The goal of the mentorship program is to promote the academic and personal growth of young women surgeons and support their academic and professional growth.

How does it work?

The mentor and mentee sign a contract for the cycle after the match at the first meeting. A strategic plan is made based on the goals and advice of the pair. Regular meetings between the pair are done to ensure that the mentee is on track. At the end of the year, the a report is submitted.

When do the Program Starts?

The application opens in January for mentors and mentees and it’s announced on WSK social media platforms. The metro-mentee match is announced in February and the program starts in March. This is the first year for the program. Next cycle will begin in March 2021 and application will open in January 2021
